Franklin, Mass Fire Department- has established the rank of Battalion
Chief and created 4 more positions within the department. Total
staffing now consists of 52 full-time members. The breakdown by rank
is: Chief of Department, 2 Deputy Chiefs (1 admin/1 operations) and 1
EMS Captain for administrative. On the suppressions side, the
breakdown is: 4 Battalion Chiefs, 4 Captains, 4 Lieutenants, and 36
Firefighters working in 4 groups.
