UPDATE: 8:42 a.m.
ERCOT's current capacity is 45,000 megawatts of electricity, compared
to the current demand of 43,800 megawatts. By 10 a.m. the forecast is
expected to be up to 60,000 megawatts, yet the capacity won't even get
above 55,000 megawatts by 4 p.m., according to ABC13 Data Analyst
Keaton Fox.
UPDATE: 8:18 a.m.
An utility company official tells ABC13 that they are more optimistic
about today's power restoration efforts, but they expect a "sizeable"
group of people who will be without power the entire day, and they
could be in the dark into the rest of the week.
