bottom line ... actually its a little complicated
riverside county fd ... dispatch channels + response channels +
command channels + tac channels .. all channels are VHF high band 150
Mhz to 174 Mhz
paging is done on the dispatch channels
traveling to and from scene is done on response channels ... onscene
comms for minor incidents might be on response channels also .. tac
channels are simplex short range channels ... command channels are
long range but they might not work well in all areas for all portable
radios
san bernardino county fd ... most comms are on 800T iirc ... and all
channels are repeatered and have same coverage .. but they also have
legacy 154 mhz radios iirc
