the overall story goes like this

the building was constructed during a boom ... the builder was also
the developer ... maybe construction and design techniques were not
optimal

new bld went up next door ... monitors showed that vibrations were excessive

2018 ish ... engineers checked building for 40 year recertification
.... found many issues .... would cost millions to fix ... tenants
all freaked out .... picture taken of column in basement that was
soaking wet

two weeks before collapse, a junior engineer called in to look at
planter next to swimming pool ... he dismissed cracks as vegetation
issues

day before collapse ... loud booms and cracks heard ?maybe?

wasnt there something that happened 2 hours before collapse? ... woman
told guard in lobby about noises or something like that
