ARIZONA STRIP DISTRICT'S MOKI HELITACK SEASON 2022 IN REVIEW

https://www.blm.gov/blog/2022-10-14/arizona-strip-districts-moki-helitack-season-2022-review

dispatch by Color Country Dispatch Center

home base is at Saint George UT so their primary response area is the
huge (essentially vacant rangeland) area north of the Grand Canyon

they are described on the internet as a "10 person crew" - we assume
that includes 1 module / crew manager + 1 assistant manager + maybe 1
senior crew man + 7 firefighters - we assume that the pilot or pilots
+ mechanic + ?fueler? are separate resources - 3 ground vehicles are
also mentioned - not sure if that includes a fuel truck and a repair
truck - so overall they might have 14 people plus 1 helo + 4 or 5
ground vehicles

note how they are moved all around the country

hover fill = set bucket on ground and someone shovels in some water or
foam or whatever - water tenders might have to travel over 20 miles on
mountain dirt roads to get water
