translation - imho - Engine Company 7 got a new engine from NYC - it
will be called Engine 7 or Pump 7 or 7 or something like that - the
old engine from Engine Company 7 ("The Extinguisher") was handed down
to a new fire company on Sea Street - Engine Company 7 was going to
bring the company staffing up to a total of 50 men - apparently the 50
men would drag the engine to fires using a rope - that must have quite
tricky without crushing a bunch of people on every call - gonna assume
that Engine 7 was a steam engine powered by burning coal
