below are some comments posted to You Tube about this video news report

===============================

Here in San Diego first responders stop at the intersection regardless
if they have the right away to responding to a call, I dint see the
fire truck stop Or slow down, at the intersection, Rip & preyers to
the family

I personally know of Firefighters who "Do Not"have a CDL and still
drive those Fire Trucks. These Guys tend to do whatever they want as
well as some cops when it comes to GoinG thru a Red liGht or
intersection. They as well need to slow down no matter what's the case
when drivinG a truck that size. I'm sure it's different in every
State. But, the FirefiGhters here in CT don't do diddly squat. Prayer
to all those hurt or killed

Doesn't matter if you was to side with the fireman, the cars had a
green light and therefore the fire truck DID NOT have the right of
way, they must come to a complete stop before entering the
intersection, street racing or not. This is from a firefighter
paramedic with 22 years of experience.

===================

No surprise. After all, firetrucks are hard to see being that they are
big, bright red, with lots flashing lights and a loud siren.

can you describe in detail what the firetruck did? was it sitting
still in park? was it putting out a fire? or did it pull out into the
middle of the road? which is it?

@infinitegold6528 The Firetruck was traveling to an Emergency with
its light and siren activated. The cars were running a stop sign way
over the speed limit.

@mongoose406 why would a stop sign be in the middle of the road? The
firetruck ran a stop sign and yes the cars were speeding, but the
firetruck should have stopped at the stop sign, secondly the road the
firetruck came from was obscured, if it wasn't then the cars would
have obviously stopped, I hate it when delusional people think they
know it all and make up facts off the top of their mind.

Emergency vehicles in Los Angeles County will almost always slow down
going into intersections when the light is red in their direction. The
fact that the engine appears to go straight through the intersection
makes me believe the two cars were running this light, in addition to
possibly racing each other. Good luck trying to spin this by saying
"it just doesn't add up".

The fire engine had the green light. You can zoom in to the top left
of the screen to see the crosswalk signal is clearly visible and
depicting a no crossing sign.

@timothya.olmeda7299 the video doesn't clearly show a signal or
light. But it did look like racing

@bnellynel Again, if you zoom in and can recognize what a crossing
light looks like you can clearly see the crossing signal not blinking,
it's lite up and clearly depicting the no crossing signal in the upper
left hand of the screen.

well I admit that sometimes I don't watch to the end of every youtube
video but I did on this one and it sounds like they were being chased.
I'm the biggest skeptic on earth but this might not actually have been
street racing, go figure

"being chased" is such a stupid and laughable excuse. the other car
wasn't even on the same lane. and who called a "friend" to report a
life & death situation? stupid people that's who.
