afaik - their primary duties are -
1. NAWAS statewide control point
2. MEMA statewide dispatch point
3. State Forest Fire Service statewide dispatch point
4. maybe they answer any emergency calls that come in from outside of
Massachusetts via the 10 digit phone number listed at the State 911
Office website
5. maybe they dispatch the DFS units (hazmat and rehab)
6. statewide fire mutual aid mobilization center - would encompass
structural fire and wildfire - maybe also ambulance task forces -
would involve municipal FDs - and private ambulance services perhaps
7. maybe control DCR resources also - state house rangers and quabbin
rangers etc
more ? - maybe dph radiation units? if they have any?
primary radio systems - state trs + mema vhf nets + state forestry
nets + ? shortwave + ? satellite
