las vegas fd and henderson fd and north las vegas fd and moapa valley
fd also serve areas in clark county
clark county fd has paid stations in urban areas - in their rural
areas they have voluneteer stations
in general - each clark county FD station has 1 ALS engine and 1 ALS
ambulance ("rescue")
in addition - 6 of the stations also have ALS quints - Sta 21 has 1
heavy rescue and a usar truck - 2 stations have air trucks - Sta 13
has ARFF rigs (at airport)
also - some stations have a 2nd engine and a 2nd ambulance - these
units are 200 units - stations with 2 ambulances are - 12 15 18 23 27
33 - stations with 2 engines are - 15 18
" Squads " are typically 4WD TY6 brush trucks
Eng 70 is the only ALS volunteer engine
Sta 39 is being built at Raven Ave at Rossana St
Sta 61 was built at 150 North Nellis Blvd - it opened April 2021
in addition - BLM and NPS and USFS and State Forestry have wildfire
units in Clark County - NPS also has structural fire engines at Lake
Mead Natl (Rec Area) - the feds staff 1 interagency wildfire helo in
Clark County - there might be SEAT at Mesquite during the summer -
State Forestry also has helicopters - but they are based at Minden
there are just 2 fire dispatch centers in Clark County - the federal /
state wildfire center - and the combined citys / county fire dispatch
center
ooops - forgot to mention Nellis AFB and the DOE Nuclear Test Range FD
- they are stand alone operations basically
