Firefighting drones deployed in high-rise fire drill in China
Firefighting services in Shenzhen, China, have staged a fire drill
using tethered drones to battle a simulated high-rise blaze. Hovering
more than 200 meters above ground, the drones operated continuously
thanks to a tethered power and fluid supply. Built from carbon fiber,
each drone can carry an impressive 350kg payload and unleash powerful
streams of water or foam up to 30 meters.
