does not seem to be any emergency info available at their website
rrdb and sne dont have any freqs listed that we can find
the Mass Address Points show several locations in Westford and
Tyngsborough and 1 location in Groton
it is a 1600 acre site ish
there might be usaf security there - apparently there is a guard on
duty 24/7 - they lock the main gate at 5 pm nightly - visitors have to
contact the guard for entry
google street maps shows some of the blds - they have 2 large garages
halfway up the hill - could not find any photos of a haystack crane
online - but one of the garages has a 14 foot tall bay door
there might be 3 or 4 different entities that exist here - there are
about 12 colleges that particapate in NEROC which seems to be the
umbrella organization
not sure who owns the land - we need to check that out
one of the blds - maybe the barn - is split in half by the groton /
westford town border - and maybe that is the bld that shows 2 address
points with the same numeric and same street name but with different
towns - which is very rare in the mass street address guide
we drove around up in the area back in the 1980s or 1990s - you could
drive right next to some of the big antennas back then - maybe you
still can - without going thru any gates
one map diagram shows a scientific bld that includes the word 'fire
pond' - maybe they have a fire hydrant system up there run off a fire
pond
