california is really weird on the radio

never realized how weird califronia is

chp / state cops - low band

state highways / dot / caltrans - 800 mhz - (also - LA area uses 800T)
- 47 Mhz channels are also listed at rrdb but unknown if they are
still used - they dont seem to be mentioned in the low band skip forum

state parks - 800 mhz

game wardens - 2 channels at 151 mhz - 151.415 - 151.43

oes / civil defense - 3 channels at vhf highband - 153.755 154.16 154.22

state prisons - each has a 800 TRS

state prisons - wildfire crews - 155.505 - per

national guard apparently does not have any statewide channels - ????

the new statewide multi agency TRS uses VHF highband and 700 mhz -

factorys - all bands

local police and sheriff - trs urban - vhf high rural

local fire - trs urban - uhf suburban - vhf high rural

ambulance - a;; bands

medevac helos - aviation + satellite + vhf high + uhf + trs + 800 etc
- everything but low band essentially

maritime - satillite phones + vhf high + uhf onboard repeaters

cellphones - 800 mhz + 1200 mhz etc

private trunking systems - common carrier type - ??? - uuhf

highrises - probably 99% uhf

entertainment businesses - who cares? - oh wait - LA - uhf and vhf short range
