sadly - Newsom looks like a sick monster to me - the reason that
16,000 structures burnt was because the firefighters were on strike
essentially - and they had weak reserve fire apparatus - which is
simply due to stupidity at the top - (one year later - they still dont
have any good reserve apparatus) - they need to have 2 new spare rigs
for every front line rig because they work a 3 platoon system

remember - only 15% of LAFD staff live in LA City - FDNY is probably
