this is typical in NJ - private ambulances cover 911 ems calls on
weekdays - vols cover at other times
overall - in new jersey - paramedics operate from hospitals in suvs -
all the ambulances are bls - either volunteer or private - maybe with
some FDs also - rahway is FD ambulance iirc
not sure if the vols staff their stations or if they all are respond
from home - might be a mixture
private ambulances are mostly for profit or hospital run (nearly non
profit wink wink) - not my problem
