the als ambulance operated by Winchester FD is now called Winchester
Medic 1 - previously it was known as Winchester P5 (probably because
they had engines 1 thru 4)

actually - lets be more accurate - recently when Winchester FD sent
their ambulance into Arlington for a mutual aid EMS call - the unit
operated on the Arlington FD radio channel (460.60R) with the (verbal
/ spoken) ID of "Winchester Medic 1" - in the past the unit has
identified as Winchester P5

also heard regularly on 460.60R is Cambridge Squad 4 + Belmont Rescue
1 + Lexington Medic 4 + Pro "P" or "Paramedic" (1 thru 20 ish) +
Armstrong P15 (usually based in Arlington) (sometimes IDs as Armstrong
Paramedic 15 or just P15 or just Paramedic 15) + Armstrong P2 from
Woburn base + misc Armstrong BLS ambulances (Armstrong Ambulance # or
Armstrong A#) + Armstrong FS1 (ALS SUV with a medic supervisor)
