ER Doc to patient at free standing ER who is having a STEMI. Dr: Sir
we are having the ambulance crew transport u lights and sirens because
time is heart muscle in ur condition. Me: So we are transporting 16.8
miles away to the parent hospital instead of a mile away to another
hospital
2nd tweeter asks - Cath Lab?
Yup but a comparable one less than a mile but not in same hospital
system. Have seen this free standing ER make people sign out AMA if
they want to go to another hospital besides there's.
