=============================
Its seams like time has stood still sence our voters approved the bond
for our new stations, but the start construction on station 1 is just
around the corner! By mid September the contractor will be starting
the dirt work and look out from there! As promised, the property has
been secured for station 3 on west Houston River Rd west of WPA Rd.,
and we are in the design phase of that project, a very nice 2 bay
station to serve the west end of the district, I am excited for our
community and my department as we continue to grow and move into the
future.
In God we Trust,
Chief Dean Lappe

As of right now Houston River FD is in a stand down mode, we are
remaining in contact with OEP and the National Weather Service, all of
our equipment is in a state of readiness and responding to emergency
calls as normal. Please stay tuned to our local news media for any
changes in the forecast, and of course if the track dose move to the
west, we will return to alert 1 status. Your Fire Department is here
and ready to respond to you in your time of need, God bless you, stay
safe, and keep an eye to the sky unit this tropical storm threat is
over.
