ADVERTISEMENT The City of Greenfield, MA is soliciting Statements of
Qualification ("SOQ") from responsible and eligible bidders for the
General Contract and Trade Subcontracts (listed below) that wish to be
considered for the construction of the New Greenfield Fire Station.
This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is the first step of a two-phase
bidding process as required by Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 149,
Section 44D1/2 and Section 44D3/4 for building contracts estimated to
cost $10 million or more. The estimated construction cost of the
project is $10.5M. The Greenfield Fire Station Prequalification Sub-
Committee will consist of representatives from the Building Committee,
Owner's Project Manager (Construction Monitoring Services, Inc.) and
the project's design firm (Pacheco Ross Architects). The committee
will evaluate the Statement of Qualifications using the criteria
contained in the RFQ and will prequalify those General Contractors and
Subcontractors meeting a minimum RFQ criterion score. Following
prequalification, the City of Greenfield will invite the approved
respondents to submit General Bids and Filed Sub-Bids for the New Fire
Station Project. General Bidders must be DCAMM certified in "General
Construction". Filed Sub Bidders must be DCAMM certified for the
category of work for which they are submitting a bid. The new
Greenfield Fire Station is planned to be a single-story structure of
approximately 19,800 gross square feet, comprised of administrative
offices, training room, apparatus Bays, and living quarters. The
structure is intended to be constructed at a one acre parcel of land
with an address of 33-35 Main Street in Greenfield. Prequalification
will be required on the work described in the following categories:
General Construction Ceramic Tile Masonry Resilient Flooring
Miscellaneous Metals Acoustic Ceilings Waterproofing Damproofing &
Caulking Painting Roofing & Flashing Fire Sprinklers Electrical
Plumbing Glass and Glazing Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning
Electronic copies (.pdf) of the Request for Prequalification packages
will be available, beginning on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at
Andrew T. Johnson Online Plan Room, www.atjplanroom.com, within the
public project folder. Questions related to submitting a response to
the RFQ should be directed as outlined in the Prequalification
