NYC really needs 1 or 2 dispatchers working 24/7/365 to monitor all of
these campus radio systems in the city ... maybe 10 or 20 dispatchers
actually ... they could be getting onscene info 5 to 10 minutes
earlier than they do now .. all they have to do is to listen in on the
mtnce and security folks at the hotels and highrises etc ... total
cost $20K for 2 or 3 high grade commercial radios ... maybe $200K ...
it would be peanuts vs the value gained
something tells me that NYC is going to come under attack soon ... and
the city will be overwhelmed ... and the new WTC will fall first ....
just a hunch ... attackers will only need to send $100K ... and they
cannot be stopped afaik ... oh well
