fema does have different engine typing definitions

https://rtlt.preptoolkit.fema.gov/Public/Resource/ViewFile/4-508-1117?type=Pdf&q=engine

fema goes ty 1 to ty 5

seem similar to the widland standards but are a bit different

fema is from 2005 ... unknown if still used

I wonder if nfpa also has different typing standards

keywords ... type 1 engine type 2 engine type 3 engine type 4
engine ... engine definitions ... engine classes ... engine types
... types of engines ... official typing scheme
