Mass ... FY2021 fire D14 comms report

from www.massfiredistrict14.org/annual-reports/

Communications operators from throughout the district continue to be
trained and added to the team. We provide new member training, and
quarterly workshops for all. Several members also attended COML or
COMT training and continue to work on their position task books in
2019, Two Members were certified as COML and COMT.

During this year your communications team and vendors, in cooperation
with District 8 communications solved an intermittent interference
problem at the North repeater

At the Control Point, Michael Torosian continues to update Run Cards,
oversee our communications and managing the Iamresponding application.
He also continues to be available for outreach to district
Communications Centers for control point training and education.

Communications staff continue to build out the Zello for First
responders' network. We added 2 new Communities, and 3 radio gateways.
The system hosts 300 plus subscribers with 125 channels. We have
connections to District 7 and 8 as well as to 14 other mutual aid
partners.

A major project of 2020 with the Standardization Committee of updating
and formalizing SOG's was completed.

Respectfully Submitted, Brian Roberts COML, COMT
