Selectmens Report - 1952 Seagrave 1000 gallon engine will replace old
Engine 4 - 65 foot steel Seagrave aerial ladder will replace old
Ladder 2 - want to replace 1926 Engine 1 (750 gallon) and 1927 Engine
2 - recommend committee to study fire station on Indian Ridge in
Morningside

Fire Department report - Eng 4 is 1952 1000 gallon at HQ - Ladder 3 is
1949 quint 750 gpm 65 foot ladder - Eng 2 is 1927 750 gpm engine at
station 2 - reserve Eng 5 is 1929 750 gpm engine - HQ has a Special
Service truck purchased in 1945 - can be used as an ambulance - there
was a fire at Town Hall at 730 Mass Ave that caused $4,326 damage on
Feb 13 - bell signals at Highland Station and Arlington Heights
discontinued - steam whistle at Metro Pumping Station discontinued
when the station converted to diesel power - there are 6 air raid
sirens
