the mabas SOPs explain that anything listed as a "still alarm" is
dispatched by the local dispatch center
anything listed as a 'box alarm' or 2nd or 3rd or 4th or 5th is
dispatched by the MABAS control point
mabas dispatch points send a plectron pager signal on 154.265 and
announce the call there
still alarms can have more than 1 level - there is full still and
other levels of stills
the local dispatcher may be the same person as the mabas dispatcher in
some instances
calls are paged on 154.265 by just 1 mabas control point for each
incident - in other words - one should never hear multiple mabas
control points paging for the same incident - even if the incident is
on a county border
mabas divisions normally follow county borders except that Milwaukee
City FD has their own MABAS control point
we are guessing that for many counties in Wisconsin that the Mabas
Control Point is the same as the countywide 911 center
MABAS Badger Red Control ish is run by Rockford FD - they provide
higher level dispatch coordination - such as when multi counties have
working incidents
local fire dispatch centers usually contact their MABAS control point
via telephone
info from mabas SOPs and mabas box cards
an 'interdivisonal box" is used when County A requests a task force
ish from County B - this is all preplanned also
