Inspections The Federal Select Agent Program conducted 206 inspections
in 2021: 21 by the Division of Agricultural Select Agents and Toxins,
139 by the Division of Select Agents and Toxins, and 46 jointly. The
Federal Select Agent Program continued conducting remote and hybrid
(i.e., a combination of remote and on-site) inspections due to travel
restrictions related to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 pandemic. Of the
206 inspections, 19 were on-site inspections, 106 were remote
inspections, and 81 were hybrid inspections.
