somerset county maine radio channels saved at wayback machine

https://web.archive.org/web/20230203140420/https://www.radioreference.com/db/browse/ctid/1185

from radio reference

this was the first save - really?

listening to the recording of the skowhegan 3rd alarm - it sure sounds
like they are running multiple repeaters on the county fire channel
(154.325R) - and often you can hear 2 or 3 repeaters talking at the
same time - does not work too good that way but they get by - iirc the
fcc uls also shows multi FB2 on 154.325

heard the following FDs paged out by Somerset Comm - Canaan + Madison
+ Fairfield + Athens + Pittsfield - maybe Cornville also

units heard included - Athens (Chief 900) + Skowhegan 130 (barely
hitting the repeater) + Madison Engine 72 + Athens Engine 1 (responded
with a crew of 1) + (Fairfield) Ladder 1 + Solon 101 + Pittsfield
(Chief) 300

few comms and no page out of Skowhegan Fire was heard - so apparently
they get paged on their local channel (155.9625R) - and apparently the
scanner feed does not receive that channel

the request for the 2nd alarm was heard loud and clear however -
perhaps a Skowhegan Fire unit was on the County Fire channel by
mistake

on the ?county? ems channel - just an initial page for the first alarm
was heard - that was at 938 am - and then a ems call was paged in
Madison - no followup comms were ever heard on the "county ems"
channel (155.9025 R) - so it seems that 155.9025 R is only used for
paging
