this is the first save to the wayback machine - 165 pages - no
specifics on fire agencies
they have the typical fire service scheme - usfs does wildfire control
on national forests and blm land - oregon department of forestry does
wildfire control on rural private lands and state owned lands - local
FDs cover their local areas (which is typically the lowlands in the
valleys)
no one has responsibility for fighting building fires in the rural /
wilderness areas - but there are very few blds there
not sure who has responsibility for auto crashes way out in the woods
- maybe the closest FD is morally responsible to respond
note - the Lane County Fire Defense Board is actually the Lane County
Fire Mutual Aid Plan - this apparently is an Oregon thing - maybe
every county in Oregon has a "Fire defense Board" and it is actually a
"Fire Mutual Aid Plan" - these plans are apparently tied together at
the State level by the State Conflagration Act (which - again - is a
fire mutual aid plan)
