Will I hear weekly Emergency Alert System messages?

Yes. We comply with FCC regulations that require us to carry national
emergency alert announcements similar to ones you hear on terrestrial
radio. SiriusXM provides nationwide alerts from the Emergency Alert
System on all its channels. State and local emergency alert messages
and information specific to major metropolitan markets are provided on
SiriusXM's local traffic and weather channels. SiriusXM does not
provide state and local emergency alert messages on any of its other
channels.

We also carry weekly and monthly emergency alert test announcements,
and they usually last for less than one minute. These tests can only
be heard on our satellite channels. They cannot be heard on our
streaming channels, Sprint phones, the DISH Network (Sirius plans), or
AT&T or Alltel (XM plans).
