the map showing the usfs lands is nice - keep in mind that each natl
forest in california has their own fire dispatch center and fire
dispatch radio channel - and they have 10 to 20 5 man engines (TY3) +
1 or 2 helos plus 1 or 2 air tankers (highly fluid) plus 2 to 5 hand
crews of 20 people each
blm looks huge on the map but they only have about a dozen fire
stations with 1 or 2 engines each - they also have 2 helos - ravendale
and apple valley
nps has about a dozen fire stations also - they have just 2 fire helos
iirc - yosemite and sequoia/kings
fish and wildlife apparently has just 2 fire stations - san diego plus
san luis nwr dispatched by sierra natl forest - wait - doesnt tulelake
have fws engine also? - or is that in oregon somehow? - or is that
engine gone?
