we dug thru the NYS EMS Directory and put all the info on the map
as is typical in the northeast more or less - each FD has a first
responder squad - either EMT or Medic - each FD seems to have a
multitude of EMS SUVs and EMS light rescues
there are also some private ambulances around the county - plus a few
FD ambulances
there are also 2 college emt teams
there seems to be a lack of ambulances in the NE corner of the county
- there must be some ambulance hiding there somewhere
did we figure out Rome? I forget - so many different agencies - hard
to keep track of them all
more than half of the Utica FD are medics - that might explain why so
many of the FDs in the suburbs have medic level first responder teams
- ie - off duty Utica FFs serve as vols in the smaller FDs maybe
