Madrid had a highrise fire

https://youtu.be/tdfw8AxJm2o - 7 minute video - in Spanish

1. maybe they should have put snorkels at opposite corners with access to all 4 sides of bld

2. looks like water pressure was low on 1 snorkel at some point

3. why are there bricks in wall at 20th floor? stupid question - I have bricks on my exterior wall also - but there must be a better way to build a building envelope

4. we have no idea when the snorkels were sent nor when they arrived nor how many others are in the area

On August 29, around 7 am, a spectacular fire broke out in the Ámbar Tower in the Hortaleza district. A fire in a high-rise building that affects the last three floors and that presented a serious risk of spreading through the facade.

This type of fire requires the use of a large amount of media; approximately 23 vehicles with their crews traveled to the site, but above all the participation of the two articulated arms that the Service has (70 m and 50 m) were essential to cut the propagation along the façade.

On the other hand, comment as an important fact that the building's fire protection facilities (BIE, Dry Column, compartmentalization doors, etc.) worked correctly, facilitating both evacuation and extinguishing tasks at all times.
