usa - lets start a new quint plus tanker concept
many big city fire stations have 1 pumper plus 1 ladder - with 4 people on each
lets change things up - lets go with 1 quint and 1 tanker in each
station - quint has 500 gallons of water and tanker has 3000 gallons
of water - this works best in a flat city
3500 gallons of water allows 14 minutes of fire attack at 250 GPM -
before connecting to any hydrants
quint could have crew of 5 and tanker could have crew of 1 - we just
cut crew requirements from 8 to 6 - thats a 25% cut in costs
this is close to the Mexico City / Beijing fire ops concept I think -
probably goes for everywhere in the world except USA + Canada + Hong
Kong + Russia
