35 stations and 500 sworn personnel
basically what they did is replace all the VFD with paid stations
how they can afford to do that - I have no idea
but thats what Kern County and Santa Barbara County and Ventura County
did - maybe also San Bernardino County - not sure about Riverside
County - they still might have lots of POC
it will be kinda funny when San Diego County has the next big brush
fire and everyone calls to go back to the 1970s Cal Fire contract
keep in mind - the San Diego County FPD just serves the unincorporated
areas of San Diego County - with alot of help from USFS and Cal Fire
