all calls are dispatched acoss A1, A2, A3, and A4
A1 - is for EMS responses on east side of city
A2 - is dispatch / home channel
A3 - is for EMS responses on west side of city
A4 - is Suppression - minor fire calls citywide
for major incidents - units are told to switch to B1, B5, B9, or B13 -
maybe they are announcement groups of 4 channels each
so - if a medical call is dispatched for the east side of the city -
the responding unit(s) will receive the call via A2 and then shift to
A1 - if they happen to be on A1 A3 or A4, they will still hear the
dispatch
