5 vols from West Lanham VFD - plus 2 civilians - lit 4 fires in vacant
homes - just so they could respond and extinguish the fires - fires
happened in Dec 2019 - all were suspended ish at that time - no
injuries - no deaths - grand jury finally got around to indicting them
- 60 search warrants were served at fire house for electronics and
surveillance cameras etc - there were violation of SOPs
I think each local VFD chief is responsible for hiring their own vols
in PG County - probably with some county oversight
PG County FD is the largest combination (paid & volunteer) FD in the USA
