seems to me that if you lose your cell phone or the battery dies; then
you lose the ability to use Amazon even if you can access a backup
phone or computer
however; Amazon does allow the use of Google Voice as a backup method
of authenticating your account; Amazon will send a text to your Google
Voice number; and hopefully one would then be able to access Amazon
again; this can be important for ordering groceries ...... you have
to go into your Amazon security settings to add the 2nd phone number
to your account ... iirc thats where I found the option on the
Amazon website
I just confirmed 5 minutes ago that Amazon will send a text to Google
Voice; and that Google Voice will receive and display the text
Feels like we are making progress today .... some disaster must be
looming around the corner lol
what me ... pessimistic?
