Boston Mass FD radio tests 33.74 1970s
iirc there were radio tests at 9 am and 7 pm ... then just E31 and E47
tested at 7 pm .. and then the radio tests went away (maybe in the
1980s]
in the early 1970s there were a bunch of mutual aid units tested
(maybe daily or weekly at 9am or 7pm] on 33.74 ... maybe it was ...
Hanscom (AFB] Engine 11 + Navy Yard Engine 1 + Navy Yard Engine 2 +
Quincy Eng 5 + Quincy Ladder 2 + Somerville Engine 2 and Somerville
Ladder 2 + Brookline Engine 1 + Brookline Engine 5 + Brookline Ladder
2 + Cambridge Engine 2 + Cambridge Ladder 3 + Winthrop Engine 1 +
Milton Engine 1 + Newton Eng ?4? or Newton Eng ?1? + Watertown Eng 1
+ Needham Eng 1 + Dedham Eng 1 ... basically everyone that came into
the city to cover on a 5th alarm iirc ... (maybe Revere and Everett
and Chelsea also]
they had 5 alarm run cards back then
