nationwide fire radio channel scheme

lets rethink what I have written before

nationwide fire radio channel scheme

common channels nationwide and common channel usage nationwide

Channel 1 - 453.2125 R

Channel 2 - 453.2125 direct

(gonna throw in hypothetical freqs for nationwide fd channels)

Channel 3 to 10 are blank - they can be programmed anyway the user desires

Channel 11 - nationwide FD channel 1 (453.10R)

thru

Channel 19 - nationwide FD channel 9 (453.90R)

Channel 20 - blank

Channel 21 to Channel 29 can be fireground channels 1 to 9 (maybe
460.10 thru 460.90)

=============================

if banks can only hold 16 channels - then I guess that bank 1 can be
453.2125 in ch 1 and ch 2 - and then local channels

bank 2 can be fire dispatch channels

bank 3 can be fireground channels

======================

the blank channels in bank 1 can be programmed with any local channels
that the user wants

let me give FDNY as an example - for a manhattan unit

assuming 50 channels per bank

ch 1 453.2125 R

Ch 2 - 453.2125 direct

ch 3 - can be programmed as whatever the manhattan dispatch channel is
(maybe 453.10R)

Ch 4 - can be programmed as whatever the manhattan FG channel is -
(maybe 460.10 direct)

channels 5 thru 10 can be whatever

ch 11 is nationwide fd channel 1 (453.10 R)

ch 12 is nationwide fd channel 2 (453.20 R)

ch 13 is nationwide fd channel 3 (453.30 R)

etc

ch 21 is nationwide FG channel 1 - ( 460.10 direct )

ch 22 is nationwide FG channel 2 - (460.20 direct)

ch 23 is nationwide fg channel 3 - (460.30 direct)

=========================

the lineup for a brooklyn fdny unit would be

ch 1 - 453.2125 R

ch 2 - 453.2125 direct

ch 3 - 453.20 R

ch 4 - 460.20 direct

==========================

every single radio in every fire truck in the usa would use the exact
same channels and frequencies

for the NYC area - you could have Manhattan 453.10R - brooklyn 453.20
R - queens 453.30 R - bronx 453.40 R - staten island 453.50 R -
westchester county 453.60 R - nassau county - 453.70 R - newark area
453.80 R - essex county nj 453.90 R - any other areas would reuse
these channels

bottom line - 10 common dispatch channels across the usa + 10 common
simplex fireground channels across the usa

if germany could do it in the 1970s - then certainly the usa can do it in 2023

this would make radio usage and programming a million times easier
across the usa - and it could be done in either trunked or
conventional mode

and the radios could have gps installed and would always find their
automatically to the correct local dispatch channel - no matter where
they were located

for a trs - nationwide FD channel 1 would always be TGID 0001 -
nationwide FD channel 2 would be TGID 0002 - the infrastructure would
always know where the field unit was located - and would know what
towers to activate for any user on TG 0001 - the infrastructure for
Manhattan would activate all towers in Manhattan for any traffic on TG
0001 - the infrastructure in Brooklyn would activate all towers in
Brooklyn for any traffic on TG 0002 - if someone tried to use
preassigned TG 0001 in Sullivan County NY - the infrastructure would
know to activate towers just in Sullivan County NY and not activate
any towers in Manhattan

just thinking outloud - just thinking out loud - radio scheme - radio
channel scheme - radio usage scheme - nationwide channel load
