Fire Organizational Structure on the Sequoia National Forest

https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/sequoia/home/?cid=fsbdev3_059502

not sure how up to date this is - but it gives a good look at manpower levels

note that each engine company has 8 people assigned overall

such as

Supervisory Fire Engine Operator, Bear Creek - Engine 25
Fire Engine Operator
Assistant Fire Engine Operator
Senior Firefighter (2 positions)
Crew (3 positions)

gonna guess that all engine operators have CDL and can drive the engine

on the Angeles Natl Forest when they do the daily rollcall it is
typically - Captain + 4 - or - Engineer + 4

lets guess that on the Sequoia NF that Supervisory Fire Engine
Operators are called 'Captains' - and that Fire Engine Operators and
Assistant Fire Engine Operators are called 'Engineers'

the differences between the various rankings include - pay levels +
required training + maybe years of experience
