The State 911 Department operates two Public Safety Answering Points
in the Commonwealth. One in Middleton, Massachusetts: North Shore
Regional 911 Center and one in Framingham, Massachusetts: POD-1

state police at their hq
framingham must receive all the wireless 911 calls from the limited
access highways in eastern mass
iirc middleton receives 911 calls from approx 6 towns in essex county
- plus many wireless calls from north eastern massachusetts
