1 alarm brush fire gets 5 engine companies from the mainland to the
island via fd helo
2nd alarm brush fire gets engines and equipment from the mainland via a ferry
sure seems like it will take a long long long time to accomplish
la city fd has at least 5 fire boats - and coast guard must have some
boats - and there must be tugboats - and there are lifeguard boats
also
maybe there are uscg helos also - and police helos that could take
crews out to the island
and orange county fire has 3 helos now iirc
probably would make sense to have a large cache of hose and pumps and
ppe on catalina island also
afaik - there are approx 2 ty1 engines and 3 ty3 engines on catalina -
plus maybe 1 water tender - they could probably find somewhere to hide
5 reserve engines on the island
