voters gave more money - 10 county engines will have 3 people on duty each
have had 2 man staffing for 30 years
many of their stations have TY1 or 2 county engines - plus TY3 state
engines - and TY6 volunteer engines - so maybe for brush fires each
station can roll quickly with 2 or 3 vehicles now - that would be a
tremendous boost in firefighting capability - maybe
their forested areas seem to be thick with huge 100 foot trees - and
lots of the terrain is rugged - they need to be able to go up the
right driveways and side streets to quickly attack ground fires -
maybe the type 6 engine can go up the driveway first and the person
can start to stretch a hoseline - then the ty3 and the ty2 engine can
come in behind and give the tank water - and the 2nd and 3rd
firefighters can help to extend the hoseline
and if any aircraft is overhead - thats all the better
