ch10 was rarely used - so now its used as a Command channel
the divison channels - 1, 2, 3 - seem to be basically used for all
unit to unit' comms - except if a Tac channel is assigned for an
incident
LAFD really does not have a heck of a lot of tac channels - maybe just
8 of them - so if they have a highrise fire that uses 4 tac channels -
then they only have 4 tac channels in reserve - the probably can use
the division channels as spare tac channels - and maybe they put their
command comms on cell phones or the city TRS if necessary
really not sure how they use their radios on a daily basis - maybe the
metro ambulances leave their HTs on Ch4 all day long - north fire
units and ambulances might start their day on Valley Dispatch - south
fire units might start their day on Metro Fire Dispatch - maybe just
the fire officer shifts his radio channel on EMS calls - maybe
everyone shifts their radio channels when going to a fire call -
officers go to the SizeUp channel - firefighters go to the Tac channel
- something like that
