SLO County has apparently add a new MESA COMMAND channel - apparently
it serves some mesa - repeater sites are listed in the FCC General
Menu Reports as KVEC Radio Hill, Lopez Hill, and Tepusquet Peak -
control points are listed at Fire Dispatch Office and Sheriff Dispatch
Office - each radio site might have a repeater and a base station -
meaning that each site can be used by the dispatchers in either
simplex or repeater mode - the repeater map in the 2025 County Ops
Plan does not show any listings for MESA COMMAND yet
MESA COMMAND is apparently also called C8 or XSL C8
looking at the channel loads for the various Battalions - we see that
Batt 2 has C8 but B1 B3 B4 B5 do not have C8 - (the other Batts seem
to have River Cmd or some other Cmd channel in place of C8)
so we seemed to have learned that some of the SLO Command channels
only cover a small part of the county
it is possible that XSL C4 and C5 do offer countywide coverage
