FEMA Daily Ops Brief - no red flags today

per weather.gov - A major winter storm will bring heavy snow, very
strong winds, and low visibility to portions of the northern Rockies
into this weekend. Treacherous travel conditions are likely to
develop, especially in Montana and Idaho. Some areas may see over two
feet of snow. From the central Plains to the Great Lakes region,
severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall will be possible on Friday.

• Heavy snow possible – Portions of Northern Rockies to Northern Plains

Tropical Activity:
• Atlantic:
○ Tropical Storm Karen; Hurricane Lorenzo (CAT 4)
• Eastern Pacific:
○ Disturbance 1: Low (20%); Disturbance 2: High (80%);
Disturbance 3: Low (30%);
• Central Pacific: No new tropical cyclones are expected during the
next five days
• Western Pacific: No activity affecting U.S. interests
