FEMA Daily Ops Brief - red flags in CO AND MORE

per weather.gov - actually KS NV CA also have red flags today - all of
eastern Colorado is under red flags - no national forests there - so
that will be all state and local responsibility areas

Significant Incidents or Threats:
• Severe thunderstorms possible – Central Plains
• Heavy rain/flash flooding possible – Central Great Basin, Central
Plains to the Middle Mississippi Valley
• Winter storm – Portions of the Pacific Northwest to the Northern Plains
• Elevated fire weather conditions/Red Flag Warnings – CO

Tropical Activity:
• Atlantic:
○ Hurricane Lorenzo (CAT 3)
• Eastern Pacific:
○ Disturbance 1: High (90%); Disturbance 2: Low (20%)
• Central Pacific: No new tropical cyclones are expected during the
next five days
• Western Pacific: No activity affecting U.S. interests
