time municipal employees
Note - Tokyo is essentially a Prefecture or State or County - it is

you might think they should have a larger station with larger vehicles
- but if you look at many of their neighborhoods - any larger vehicles
could barely get down some of the side streets
let me explain a little more - tokyo fd paid guys mostly use full size
pumpers - the full size pumpers probably can access all of the streets
and alleys in tokyo - but there is barely any room to pass pedestrians
- certainly they cannot pass any other vehicles on the sidestreets -
there is barely room for 2 small cars to pass on many of the side
streets
if I had to guess I would guess that the tokyo ladder trucks cannot
access 25% of the streets in the city
so you can see that the volunteers do not lose very much by using mini pumpers
still not sure how much of the city has hydrants - there are cisterns
all over the place
note - all of the full size pumpers have a built in hand drawn hose
cart - that should tell you something about how narrow the side
streets are

Map of volunteer fire stations in Tokyo - 50%

today I found some sub stations of the volunteers - which might mean
there are twice as many vol stations as I previously thought - maybe
not - maybe only 10% more
in any case - as a wild guess - I am guessing that this map shows only
50% of the volunteer stations at this time
the zerg90 primary map for tokyo has more of the vol stations at this
time - but I am working to develop a different layer for just the vol
stations - and I just wanted to show what I have come up
99% of the vol stations are all the same - 2 floors - 1 roll up bay

Kirkland batteries are not very good even though they are made by Duracell

The problem is that solar does not always charge fully (or correctly).
I have killed several LiFePO systems with solar panels. And for heavy
usage, you really need more than NiCa or NiMh cells. I have found that
rechargeable AA and AAA just don't have the staying power or shelf
life of a standard alkaline.
