that whole setup looks very sketchy - imagine a car taking out just
ONE of those columns
taking out one initially might not be a problem - but when it drags
down 1 or 2 others - then you are screwed
unless - there are massive columns in the core of the building - or
massive columns somewhere along the exterior - or both

just thinking outloud - if a 20.0 quake hit Cairo - would any of the
pyramids collapse? my guess is 'no' - they are very stable structures
- can I quantify that? - no - maybe engineers can
