miami dade fd radio traffic

"base channel" - thats the home channel for each station and apparatus

iirc they have 3 home channels - north + central + south - and maybe
each fire station has a base radio - so it would make sense to call
them the "base channels"

apparently the procedure is to always monitor your base channel unless
you get switched to a tac channel - or maybe if you travel out of your
base area for move ups or training or whatever

there was a call yesterday that initially got dispatched to the wrong
area - so the call was dispatched a 2nd time ("redispatched") - and
the dispatcher said something like - 'return to your base channel for
redispatch"
