arlington mass has 1 cop on patrol per square mile
nyc has 55,000 cops covering 468 square miles - dividing by 4 platoons
- gives 30 cops per square mile - actually nypd has 36,000 cops and
19,000 civilians - have no idea what the civilians do - so I am going
to assume they are cops also - maybe mostly meter maids and traffic
wardens - but still - 3/4 of a cop each in terms of pay probably
