overview of the fire service in Austria
https://www.ctif.org/country-member/austria
this website might have overviews of fire services in many countries
==========
austria's volunteer fire brigades are in 9 groups which match the 9
states of austria
https://www.feuerwehr-krems.at/Warnung/teaser_noe_all.asp
the circles on this map are the fire dispatch centers .... AAF are the
smaller 'area' fire dispatch centers ... BAZ are the larger
'district' fire dispatch centers ... there are 3 AAF and one of them
is only staffed in disasters ... we have not figured out yet how the
zones on this map are related to the fire dispatch centers and how the
zones on the map are related to the 9 volunteer fire brigade groups
if you click on the zones on this map you reach a map that shows all
the fire brigades in the zone ... 99% of fire brigades seem to have
just 1 station ... and each volunteer station seems to have 1 large
engine and 1 small engine and 1 van
there are only 6 paid FDs in the country ... one is Vienna which is
Wien on this map ... Vienna has its own fire dispatch center at Vienna
FD HQ ... there is no Vienna info shown on this map ... unknown if the
other 5 paid FDs are shown on this map
one of the sub maps shows or lists all the industrial FDs in Austria
... there are 306 of them
